For the Pip Children’s Book Series, I illustrated the books and shaped the visual world around Pip and her adventures.
The series includes two titles:
Op avontuur met Pip and Pip lost het op!.
Both books follow Pip as she navigates everyday situations that gently grow into small adventures. From playful explorations to solving simple problems, the stories focus on curiosity, imagination, and creative solutions.
The stories follow Pip through everyday moments where small things can turn into adventures, often with her best friend Pom close by. Familiar situations are translated into illustrations that feel lively and approachable, supporting the narrative and helping bring Pip’s world to life.
Pip was designed to feel curious, open, and relatable, and is loosely based on a real girl named Pip. I focused on a clear silhouette and expressive body language, making sure her emotions are easy to read even without text. Posture, gestures, and facial expressions play an important role in how she interacts with the world around her.
The design balances simplicity and personality, allowing Pip to move naturally through everyday situations while remaining recognizable across the series.
