Tekenclub (or Drawingclub) is a website I created to show Dutch kids how wonderful and fun drawing actually can be, without all the silly restrictions parents and teachers give them at home or at school. Together with the characters Pen, Ink and Gom (= Dutch for eraser), the children embark on an unforgettable trip through online interactive worlds, and discover all aspects of making a picture.

Help! Een Dief op School is the fourth children's book I illustrated.
The book is published by De Gestreepte Boekjes, and can be ordered
here.
In the video on the left you can see the making of one of my illustrations. I recorded my desktop during the creation of a scene where a cowboy enters a saloon. The original rendering process took me around 5 hours, and it’s sped up here to about 15 minutes.
8 little illustrations I made for a personal study
Reus Warbol is the third children's book I illustrated.
It's a story about a giant with an afro who lives in a forest and needs to go to the hairdresser!
The book is published by De Gestreepte Boekjes, and can be ordered
here.
For Ka-Ching Cartoons their short film, the 3d Machine, I made all the backgrounds and the poster.
The 3d Machine is a very cool film in 3d (not like in the Pixar movies, but actually with the red and blue glasses) inspired by old horror classics, about a professor, his assistant and a huge machine.
Check out the trailer on the left or visit the official website
here.
De Gevangen Kabouter is the second children's book I illustrated.
The book is published by De Gestreepte Boekjes, and can be ordered
here.
I made a poster for the local activities in Dordrecht during the kinderboekenweek (children's book week) in 2007, which included these illustrations.
During my internship at Animation Works I illustrated my first children's book: De Beloning van de Koning, written by Arjan Wilschut and published by Callenbach.
It's the story (on rhyme) of a creedy king who keeps raising the taxes and litteraly gets stuck in it's own wealth.
In 2008 De Beloning van de Koning won de Verwondering. The award for the best looking book, given by the BCB.
You can visit the official website here or order the book here.
For neuzenroode.nl, a website from the CliniClowns, I illustrated the 5 online worlds children can visit during their visit on the site.
Neuzeroode.nl won the international W3 Award in 2008 in the category: Best visual appeal.
3 posters for a schoolassignment. They are about this little girl and her robot visiting new and undiscovered planets. Though the reason for their journey is just curiosity and science, the natives doesn't seem to like their presence!
